چکیده
University chemical laboratory is a high-risk place for teaching and scientific research due to the presence of various physical hazards. In recent years, university accidents occur frequently. This urges need enhance lab safety. A semi-quantitative methodology comprising Matter-Element Extension Theory (MEET) implemented with Combination Ordered Weighted Averaging (C-OWA) operator proposed assess risk laboratory. First, an index-based assessment system built by identifying factors from perspective. Then, C-OWA used calculate weight indices, whereas MEET employed determine correlation degree indices. Finally, comprehensive laboratories assessed, some safety measures are reduce laboratories. The applicability tested using practical case. It observed that can be useful tool management

Semi-quantitative risk assessment of health exposure to hazardous chemical agents in a petrochemical plant
Background: Chemical contaminants present in the work environments include gases, vapors, and solid and liquid suspended particles. The number of factories producing chemicals has increased significantly. Each year, new products are introduced into the market. Consequently, the number of employees at risk of exposure to these materials is increased. Hazardous chemicals are used in the petrochem...

Background: The use of chemicals is essential in education resulting in exposure to these pollutant in a variety of chemical and research laboratories. Chemical contaminants in chemical laboratories are in different forms and chemical exposure risk assessment is important for choosing appropriate controls in protecting the health of operators, experts and students. For risk assessment in chemic...
متن کاملsemi quantitative risk assessment of a hydrogen production unit
the safety of hydrogen generation facilities is the main concern in their process operation. this study was conducted to identify the hazards and evaluate the risks of a hydrogen generation plant. for this purpose, prha (process hazard analysis) was applied for hazard identification while lopa (layer of protection analysis) was used for risk assessment. the study was conducted in the hydrogen p...

متن کاملSemi-quantitative risk assessment of occupational exposure area industrial wastewater Treatment unit in an oil refinery and chemical contaminants
Background and aims: The chemical pollution in industries has make an unacceptable risk for the human health. For the risk assessment of the human exposure, it is necessary to be considered the material dangers based on the consumption rate, dose, toxic properties, and evaluation of potential effects on the human health. Therefore, the aim of this study was to assess the semi-quantitative risk ...
